In an academic context where information technologies have an increasing presence, artificial intelligence is becoming a reference tool in many fields of teaching and research. This activity aims to help future education professionals become familiar with the various applications of AI in the academic field, specifically in the preparation of their final degree project. AI tools make it possible to optimize the information search, analysis and writing processes, so that students can focus on those more creative tasks that really bring value to their work. With this activity, attendees will acquire the necessary skills to use these technologies effectively and ethically, thus guaranteeing the quality and originality of their work.

- Introduction (30 minutes). What is artificial intelligence, AI in our daily lives, AI in the academic field, objectives of the activity
- AI tools for research (45 minutes). Information search, bibliography management, generation of summaries and information extraction
- Content generation (45 minutes). Assisted writing tools, text generation
- Ethics and challenges in the use of AI (30 minutes). Algorithmic biases, intellectual property, privacy, small debate among participating students
- Conclusion and recapitulation (15 minutes). Summary, recommendations for responsible and effective use of AI, future of AI in education, trends and future perspectives
